Judith "Judy" Marie Harper's Obituary
Judy “JuJu” Marie Harper, 57, of Decatur, passed away at her residence in Decatur on July 19, 2019.
Judy was born April 4, 1962 in Kalamazoo, MI, the daughter of Dale Henry and Loma Marie (Rich) Harper. She enjoyed fishing, bonfires, dancing, laughing, enjoying life and had a special affection for dogs. She mostly enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and grandchildren .
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her daughter, Tyrisha Harper of Decatur, IL; two step sons, Carl “PJ” Peirson and Acardio King; granddaughter, Angalynia Swift; great grandchild, Traevon “TJ” Binkley, grandson, Diamonte Hollins; mother, Loma Knutt (Dan) of Decatur, IL; siblings, Dale Wayne Harper (Pam-Ella) of South Bend, IN, Dale Harper Jr, Richard “Ricky” Harper, James “Jim” Harper, Loma Jean Fluno (Shawn) of St. Joseph, IL, and Holly Gravil of Mattoon, IL. And an abundance of nieces and nephews and aunts and uncles.
Judy was preceded in death by her father, Dale Harper and her love of her life, Kenneth “Rocky” Rockwell. She was very outgoing and always joking around. She was loved by many and called “Ma” “JuJu”, “Aunt Judy”, “Grandma”, “Sister” and friend.
A Celebration of Life will be Saturday August 10, 2019. Contact Judy’s family for the location. Cremation services will be provided by Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home.
