Decatur-Judith Kay Shyer, 66, of Decatur, passed away at 5:20 p.m. Monday, August 31, 2009 at her residence.
Graveside services to celebrate Judy’s life will be 1p.m. Friday, September 4, 2009 at Illini Cemetery in Warrensburg. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, September 3, 2009 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Interment with Flight Home Ceremony will be in Illini Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home is assisting the family with these arrangements. Judy was born December 1, 1942 in St. Charles, Missouri the daughter of Allen Eugene and Alma Evelyn (Virden) Shyer. She was an avid bowler and was inducted into the Bowling Hall of Fame in 1999.
She leaves behind her daughter; Stacey Gannett and husband Kenneth of Decatur, son; Rodney Madding and wife Andrea of Oregon, brother; Ron Shyer and wife Ann of Cedar Park, Texas, sister; Carol Toth and husband Rick of St. Anne Common, Pennsylvania, grandchildren; Randy, Jarrod, Clarissa, Cayla, Christian, Tasha, Gerald, Melea, Dallas, Colin, and Kelsey, and great-granddaughter; Jaylin.
She was reunited in heaven with her parents.
