Judith Sigmon's Obituary
Judith Darlene Sigmon, 82, of Decatur died August 12, 2022. Graveside services will be on Tuesday August 16, 2022 at 11:00am at Harristown Cemetery.
She was born July 18, 1940 in Niantic, Illinois, daughter of John and Doris Arnold. She was a graduate of Niantic-Harristown High School in 1958. She helped run Sigmons Market on Wyckles Corner in Harristown and was a cook at the cafeteria at Niantic-Harristown High School. Judy loved to cook and was famous for her cherry bars and having huge Sunday dinners and holiday celebrations with the family. She also loved working on her word search puzzles and watching the St. Louis Cardinals with Willie. She enjoyed her family time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren as often as possible. She married William C. Sigmon on September 21, 1958.
Surviving are her husband William of Decatur, children Richard (Cheryl) Sigmon of Florida, Russell (Cheryl) Sigmon of Decatur, and Rebecca (Lane) Dunakey of Decatur; grandchildren Ashley (Chris) Pritts of LeRoy, Jake (Kaylee) Sigmon of Mt. Zion, Mandy (Josh) Sowa of Decatur, Nikki Dunakey (Zach Clark) of Illiopolis, Kelsie Dunakey of Bloomington, and Ciara Sigmon (David Truax) of Florida; great-grandchildren Owen, Emma, and Dean Sowa, Maximus Pritts, Dawson Sigmon, and Konner Clark. Survived by her siblings Roger (Barb) Arnold of Niantic and Donna (Gene) Epperson of Harristown.
Proceeded in death by her parents John and Doris Arnold, sister Rosemary (David) Downing, and infant son William.
