Jules Robinett's Obituary
Jules Robinett, 97, of Decatur, passed away on Friday, October 25, 2024 at his home.
He was born in White Hall, son of the late Walker Dee Robinett and Marie Meyer Robinett. He served his country during WWII in the United States Navy before entering the workforce as an engineer at WSOY.
Jules was a tinkerer; he could fix anything, even if it didn’t need to be fixed. He enjoyed reading about history and playing pinochle in the club he attended with his wife. Jules will always be remembered for his ability to tell a good story, especially if it was a funny one.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, John and Pierre.
Those left to cherish his memory include: His wife of 74 years, Barbara Robinett; three children, Dianne Marie Roberts, John Ritchey Robinette, and James Stanford Robinett; five grandchildren, Victoria, Jennifer, Christopher, Jakob and Keith; several grandchildren and one on the way; and Angels Among Us caregiver, Stephanie.
The family of Jules Robinett will receive friends from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm on Thursday, October 31, 2024. Funeral service will begin promptly at 12:30 pm, with burial to follow at 2:00 pm at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield.
