June E. Lindsten's Obituary
June Elizabeth Lindsten (Christensen), 90, passed away Thursday, May 27, 2021.
June was born June 8, 1930 in Evanston, Illinois. Her childhood years were lived in Glencoe, a suburb of Chicago. She graduated from New Trier High School in 1948.
At an early age she studied tap and ballet and continued studies in Chicago. After high school, she danced professionally for five years throughout the United States and Canada. On May 16, 1953, she married Bill Lindsten of Decatur. They had two children; Terri Lynn and Julie Ann. June worked for Hobby House Toyland and Franklin Travel for over 25 years. She enjoyed many years of travel with her favorite countries visited being Denmark and Sweden, from which her parents emigrated. June was proceeded in death by her husband, Bill; daughter, Terri; sister Gladys Johnson, Elmhurst; brother-in-law, Lyle Johnson, Elmhurst; sister, Eleanor Andres, Rockford; brother-in-law, Ralph Andres, Rockford. Surviving are her daughter, Julie Serrano (Lindsten); son-in-law, Eric Serrano; grandchildren Dylan and Mia and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be 11 am, Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at Graceland Cemetery. There will be no public visitation.
