Justin Tyler Bean's Obituary
Decatur – Justin Tyler Bean, 47, formally of Decatur, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, in Portland, TX.
Justin was born on July 19, 1978, in Decatur, IL, to Jerry Lee Bean and Carole (Van Hall) Bean. He is survived by his parents, his brother Jarrod Andrew Bean of Tucson, AZ, his daughter, Harlow Cate Bean and his two favorite companions Daisy and Bella (Sheep Doodles).
Justin graduated from Argent/Oreana High School and attended Richland Community College. After working at Walmart in lost prevention, he enlisted in the Marine Corps. After being discharged from the Marines he visited Texas with relatives and decided to stay. He worked at oil companies and in logistics at other companies. His last employer was Chaneer.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Orville and Ruth Bean, Oscar and Frances Van Hall and uncle Teddy Bean.
Friends and relatives are invited to a graveside service to be held at Graceland Cemetery, Decatur, IL, on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at 1 PM. Memorials may be made to Church Unlimited of Portland, TX, 1860 Billy G. Weber Dr., Portland, TX, 78374 or a charity of your choice.
