Karen Ann Cooper's Obituary
Karen Ann Cooper, 69, passed away on October 16, 2022 at her residence in Decatur, IL.
Karen was born to James and Shirley Oldham in Canton, IL. She married Jeffery Lynn Cooper on May 20, 1991 in Edinberg, Indiana. She was a God fearing, Christian woman. She had a strong faith and loved Jesus. She was an avid crocheter. She enjoyed making Afghans and blankets. She enjoyed decorating her house and spending time outdoors. She was known to go on a mushroom and plant hunt with her husband.
Karen is survived by her husband, Jeffery Cooper; daughters, Elizabeth Valdez, Julia (Gabriel) Sanchez; stepchildren, Jonathan (Amanda) Cooper, Jessica (Michael) Denning, 4 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren; dog, Ruth, and many extended family and friends.
Karen is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Mary Johnson, Sheryl Layton, Cynthia Usher, and granddaughter, Terrena Mills.
Services will be held on Friday, October 21, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Graceland Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Friday, October 21, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home.
