Karen Marie Davis' Obituary
Karen Marie Davis, 79, of Decatur, IL, passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2025, in her home.
Karen was born in Elgin, IL, on November 5, 1945, the daughter of William and Violet (Brown) Davis. Karen worked as a dietary manager for the State of Illinois. She loved watching TV, especially her favorite show, Gunsmoke, as well as eating ice cream. Karen also enjoyed playing games such as solitaire and Sudoku. Her greatest pleasure was taking care of her numerous cats.
Karen is survived by her children Anita (partner Kenneth) Perez of Decatur, Michael (Sondra) Scoggins, Sr. of Decatur, Joseph Buschek, Jr. of Oregon, IL, Dawn Buschek of Decatur, and Sondra (Bruce) Deloney of Divernon, IL; twelve grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son Doyce Wade Scoggins, Jr., two brothers, and two sisters.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, July 25, 2025, in Graceland Cemetery.
