Katherine Marie Whitsel's Obituary
Katherine Marie Whitsel, 51, of Moweaqua, passed away August 8, 2022 at HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital in Decatur.
Katherine was born in Jacksonville, Illinois on December 17, 1970, the daughter of Forrest and Virginia (Fromme) Whitsel. She was a longtime member of South Shores United Methodist church in Decatur. She loved her dolls and playing Bingo.
Katherine is survived by her brothers William Steven Whitsel of Mason City, Illinois, F. Joseph (Joyce) Whitsel III of Amaretto, Texas, Dennis K. (Barbara) Whitsel of Decatur, and Hadley G. Whitsel II of Niantic; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation for Katherine will begin at 10am on Monday, August 15 at Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow the visitation and begin at 11am in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Holy Family Parish. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.gracelandfairlawn.com.
