Decatur-Katheryn M. Lauber, 85, of West Union, Ohio, formerly of Decatur, passed away March 11, 2009.
Services to celebrate Katheryn’s life will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment with “Flight Home” Ceremony will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Ohio Valley Hospice of Hope. Katheryn was born September 2, 1923 in Winchester, Illinois, the daughter of Willie I. and Jesse (Schull) Scott. She was a Licensed Nurse Practitioner who retired after over twenty years of service. She was a member of the Moose Lodge. She enjoyed bingo, crocheting, and cross-stitching. She married Wilbur A. Lauber September 5, 1942 in Decatur. He preceded her in death on October 18, 2005.
She leaves behind her daughter; Racine Lyster of West Union, Ohio, son; Richard Lauber of Sparta, Tennessee, grandchildren; Clint Grolla of Springfield, Illinois, Jill Hackenburg and husband Jeff of LaPlace, Peggy Cloud of West Union, Ohio, and Shaunna Bracelin of Terre Haute, Indiana, and six great-grandchildren.
She was reunited in heaven with her parents, husband, daughter-in-law Jeanene Lauber, one brother, and one sister.
