Bob, I am so sorry for your loss. 28 years is a long time and she did adore you. I have many memories of Earlene baking and cooking and sewing and going back to school. She was such an intelligent woman and very artistic and so well-read. She taught me how to sew, which is a hard task in itself. She would bake for all of us when we would go camping and at Christmas she always made thumbprint cookies or mashed potato gravy cookies, which is a tradition I have passed on to my children and now their children. Earlene could sew like no one else back in the day. She made us all wool coats one winter and I will never forget that. She and I made the velvet bridesmaid dresses and she made my wedding dress and the flower girl dresses for our wedding. She would make crafts and paint and garden and can. She also encouraged me to go to Court Reporting school. I am so thankful for that; it made a big difference in my life and the life of my children. May peace be with her.
