Kathy Jean Edwards' Obituary
Kathy Jean Edwards, 73, formerly of Decatur, passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2026, in Pana, IL.
Kathy was born in Decatur on December 2, 1952, to the late Guy “Bud” Edwards and Evelyn Bales Edwards. She worked as a housekeeper at Pana Health & Rehab Center for several years, later becoming a resident there herself. She was of the Christian faith and enjoyed attended services at Pana Christian Church when she was able. Kathy also loved to spend her time crocheting while enjoying a Pepsi, coloring and snacking on MnMs, or watching cartoons while she indulged in some ice cream.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: two brothers, Jerry Edwards and Phillip Edwards Sr.; sister, Janet Edwards; and nephew, Mark Edwards.
Those left to cherish her memory include: brother, Larry Edwards (Joann); sister-in-law, Tammy Edwards; as well as many nieces and nephews, including Jamie Allen (Marc), Phillip Edwards Jr (Sara), and Matthew Edwards (Lisa).
Visitation for Kathy will take place from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home, with Funeral to begin at 12:00 PM. Burial will follow service in Graceland Cemetery.
