Kenneth Lee "Ken" Clark's Obituary
Decatur – Kenneth Lee “Ken” Clark, 67, of Decatur, passed away Sunday, December 24, 2017.
Ken was born October 28, 1950, in Peoria, IL, the son of Kenneth B. and Ruth V. (Summers) Clark. Ken worked in supervision and as a planner at Mueller Co. until retiring in 2015. He was a member of Glad Tidings Church in Decatur where he served as a deacon. He also owned and operated Clean Cut Service, a painting and handyman service which Ken started after he retired from Mueller’s. He married Vickie R. Teel June 23, 1974 in Morton, IL.
Surviving is his wife, Vickie of Decatur; sons: Chad Clark of Stonington and Casey Clark of Chicago; grandchildren: Lily Anne, Abby Gale, and Tanis Eoin; sisters: Gloria Hosler of Bartonville, Carol (Jerry) Thomas of Bartonville, and Pat Briggs of Mapleton; nieces and nephews: Karla (Kevin) Nelson, Larry (Sharon) Hosler, Eric (Lisa) Clark, Troy Thomas, Randy (Jarilyn) Thomas, Judy Hosler, Terri Baker, and Jarrod (Kyleanne) Briggs; brother-in-law, Ricky (Julie) Teel of Morton; along with extended family and friends.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert William Clark and brothers-in-law, Lloyd Hosler and Randy Teel.
Services to celebrate Ken’s life will be at 12 PM Saturday, December 30, 2017, at Glad Tidings Church, Decatur; visitation will begin at 11 AM in the church. Burial will take place at a later date.
Ken was a selfless man, committed to his family, his service to the church, his employees and to everyone else as he was always willing to lend a hand.
