Decatur – Kenneth L. Miller, 70, of Decatur, passed away at 5:45 pm Sunday, August 30, 2009 at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Kenneth’s life will be held at 10 am Thursday, September 3, 2009 at St. Thomas Catholic Church, with Father James Palakudy, Presider. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 on Wednesday evening at the Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home, with a 5:45 pm Vigil Prayer service. Interment with Military Rites provided by the Macon County Honor Guard will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be sent to the family. Kenneth was born on September 24, 1938 in Olmsted, Illinois, the son of Pete L. and Lena M. (Richards) Miller. He married Rose Gain on August 27, 1976 in Decatur. Kenneth had worked as a truck driver and also as a foreman for ADM in Decatur. He served as a Cub Scout Master for seven years, he was an avid bowler, St. Louis Cardinal Baseball fan, and Illini fan and he also enjoyed deer hunting.
He will be sadly missed by his wife: Rose, two sons: Larry Miller of Kinmundy, IL and Michael (Suzanna) Miller, Sr. of Decatur, one brother: Gary Miller of Texas, one sister: Phyllis (Jerry) Rhodes of Decatur, one grandson: Michael Miller, Jr. of Decatur.
He was reunited in Heaven with his parents and two brothers.
