Kenneth Duane Wheeler Sr's Obituary
Kenneth D Wheeler Sr., 63, passed away peacefully in his home April 23rd 2022 just before his 64th birthday.
Kenny was born in Decatur, Illinois on April 28, 1958, the son of John and Phyllis (Seeley) Wheeler. He was a Sergeant in the 1St Cavalry Regiment based in Ft. Hood Texas. He served honorably during the Vietnam Era and continued his dedication to the armed forces thereafter. Kenneth was a maintenance man and industrial painter for many years. Kenny will be remembered for his fun, adventurous spirit.
Kenny is survived by his four children: Kenneth (Jennifer) Wheeler Jr, Phillip Wheeler, Chauncey (Amanda) Wheeler, and Andrea (Newton) Elliott; and 13 grandchildren. He rests peacefully with his mother Phyllis; father John; sisters Deborah & Donna; and brother Johnny.
A graveside service will be held at 11am on Friday, April 29 in Graceland Cemetery in Decatur, Illinois. Memorials may be directed to the VFW. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.gracelandfairlawn.com.
