Kurt W. Alexander's Obituary
Kurt William Alexander, 51, of Decatur, IL passed away July 31, 2020 at his residence after a long battle with cancer. He was diagnosed in September 2019.
Kurt was born, December 4, 1968 in Decatur, IL, the son of, Larry and Karen (Stewart) Alexander.  He married Rebecca Brodnicki on March 6, 2010 at Willow Ridge Winery in Shelbyville, IL.
Kurt attended school in Hammond, IL and high school in Livingston, MT.
He was a food service staff member at Keystone Meadows.  He also worked at various restaurants and bars within the Decatur area.   He was a hunting guide at Yellowstone National Park, where he returned with his wife to revisited some of his favorite places.  He was a huge fan of metal music. He cared for his grandmother until her passing.
Surviving are his wife Rebecca; son, Zachara Alexander and his daughter, Daliah of Decatur, IL; step children, Laura Deerwester (Rachel) and daughters Marlie and Olivia of Niantic, IL, Gregory Brodnicki of Maroa, IL; sister, Kim Hofer and daughters Kaylie and Ashley of Oak Ridge, TN.
He was preceded in death by both of his parents.
Graveside memorial service will be held 10 AM Thursday August 13, 2020 at Fairlawn Cemetery on West King Street, Decatur.
