L. Kleon Jinks' Obituary
Decatur- L. Kleon Jinks, 78, of Decatur, passed away at 8:45 p.m. Thursday, September 22, 2011 at St. Mary's Hospital surrounded by his family.
No services are planned. Cremation will be accorded at Graceland/Fairlawn Crematory. Memorial contributions may be made to the Proctor Health Care Foundation, 5409 N. Knoxville Ave, Peoria, IL 61614, in support of the IIAR at The Abbey.
Kleon was born March 23, 1933 in Clay County, Illinois the son of Oren and Evelyn (Harper) Jinks. He was employed with Caterpillar Inc. retiring after forty-three years of service. He was member of the UAW Local #751. His passion was carpentry. He also enjoyed playing the guitar and loved his dogs. Kleon was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He married Rida L. Kennard December 30, 1954 in Morris, Illinois.
He leaves behind his wife Rida, son Sam Miracle of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, daughters, Hope Isaacson (Milo) of Annawan, Illinois, Faith Curtis (Alan) of Decatur, Jackie Jinks of Decatur and Patty Bridgman of Decatur, brother, Ronnie Limes, sisters, Patsy Rendelman (Bob) and Karen Johnson, grandchildren Sean Isaacson and Austin Wells, step-grandchildren Sgt. Jamie Isaacson serving with the USMC in Afghanistan and Jodi Garcia (Cory), and three step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is in Heaven now helping Jesus remodel getting it ready for his family when they come.
