Lacefene "Lacie" Goller's Obituary
Lacefene “Lacie” Sample Goller, age 84, passed away Sunday, January 13 at Imboden Creek Gardens. Visitation will be Thursday, January 17 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Friday, January 18 at 11:00 a.m. at the Star of Hope Chapel Mausoleum at Graceland-Fairlawn. The service will be followed by a meal at Westminster Presbyterian Church.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Westminster Presbyterian Church.
Lacefene was born December 14, 1934 in Pleasant Plains, AR, daughter of Lacey and Mardell Sample. She was the oldest of seven children. She married George L. Goller in 1953.Together they owned and ran several restaurants and bars. He proceeded her in death in 2002. She loved making quilts, eating chicken wings, and black licorice. Everyone Lacie met was a friend.
Survivors include: her children, Edward (Teresa) Goller of Decatur, Leisa Anderson of Lake Villa, IL., 8 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Sisters: Virginia (John) Roberts of Luttrell, TN, Elma Conner of Decatur, Vada (Jim) Montague of Ravenden Springs, AR
Her parents, her daughter, Gale, and 3 brothers, Teddy, Eddie, and Freddie Wayne, preceded her in death.
