Larry Russell Boss, 77, of Decatur, IL passed away October 23, 2019 at Farmer City Rehab Center, Farmer City, IL.
Larry was born May 31, 1942 in Decatur, IL, the son of Cleo and Katherine (Westbrook) Boss. He was a veteran of the US Army. On October 18, 1970, Larry married Kathy Fox.
Following his military service, he worked as a mental health technician for Adolph Myer and retired from Lincoln Developmental Center.
He was a member of Lampstand Presbyterian Church. During his leisure he enjoyed watching football, NASCAR, and was an avid Bears and Cubs fan.
Surviving are his wife, Kathy; daughter, Jennifer Hardin (Bryan) of Monticello; siblings, Brother-in-laws James Fox (Doris of Sidney, IL, Craig Chamberlain of Bloomington, IL; sister-in-law Cheryl Boss of Decatur, IL; grandchildren, Shawn Hott (Alexandria) of Decatur, IL, Kirstyn Hott of Dalton City, IL, Tyler Hott of Dalton City, IL, Josiah Hott of Bement, IL, Johnathan Hardin (Kastrina) of Cerro Gordo, IL, Brady Hardin of Champaign, IL, Brysin Hardin of Monticello, IL; great-grandchildren, Landen, Charlie, Elizabeth, Addilyn, McKenzie, Avery, Jesse, Ronald, Lorah, Mathew and Annabell.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.
Private services will be held at a later date.
