Larry Dietz, 79, of Decatur, IL passed away on September 3, 2021 at his residence in Decatur.
Larry was born on September 21, 1941 in Decatur, IL the son of Arlin Lawrence and Pearl Burns Dietz. Larry married Juanita Taylor on August 6, 1977 in Decatur. Juanita survives. Larry is also survived by a daughter Kathleen Craig of Sommerset, KY; son Sam Dietz of Sommerset, KY; 3 beloved step-children: Kevin (Lora) Taylor of Taylors, SC; Jerry Taylor of Oswego, IL; Kimberly (Doug) Hicks of Decatur, IL; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother: Leslie (Cece) Dietz of Surprise, AZ; sister: Connie Salis of Decatur, IL.
Larry retired from The Mueller Company after many years of service.
According to his wishes, Larry was cremated. He will be buried with Juanita upon her passing. Memorials may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church or to Cancer Care in Decatur, IL.
