Larry E. Finney's Obituary
Decatur-Larry E. Finney, 80, of Decatur, passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2017 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Larry was born July 25, 1936 in Champaign, Illinois, the son of Roy E. and Jeanette C. (Lassiter) Finney. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. Larry worked at the Wabash, Norfolk & Western, and Norfolk & Southern Railroad retiring with over forty years of service. He was an avid golfer and fisherman.
Larry leaves behind his children Shelly Moser, Mark Finney, and Kim Finney (fiancé Randy Belcher), grandchildren Cody (Whitney) Moser and Wyatt Moser, great-granddaughter Eve Moser, sister Janet (Greg) Frankowiack, nieces Lori Wilke and Kris Finney, and nephews Dan Frankowiack and Jim Frankowiack.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother Jack Finney.
Services to celebrate Larry’s life will be 6:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 15, 2017 in Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5-6 PM prior to the service. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
