Larry E. Mayberry's Obituary
Decatur – Larry E. Mayberry, 76, of Decatur, passed away Monday, June 20, 2016.
Larry was born April 14, 1940, in Decatur, IL, the son of Noah David and Lucile Anna (Kelley) Mayberry. An Army Veteran of the Viet Nam War, Larry was a member of Teamsters Local #279 and worked as a truck driver until retiring in 1999. He married Deanna “Sue” Berg June 28, 1960 in Decatur.
Larry is survived by his wife Sue of Decatur; children: Douglas Mayberry and Denise (Chris) Moore all of Decatur; grandchildren: Zachary, Joel, Kyle and Kolton; great-grandchildren: Sophie, Noah and Ellie. He is also survived by his sister, Charlotte Putnam of Springfield; brothers: Thomas (Mary) Mayberry of Maroa and David (Martha) Mayberry of Decatur; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Margie Sawyer; and brothers: Stanley and Howard Mayberry.
Visitation will be held Thursday, June 23, 2016 from 5 to 7 pm in Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Graveside services and interment will be 1 pm Friday, June 24, 2016 in Macon County Memorial Park, military rites will be conducted by the Macon County Honor Guard.
