I remember Larry and Tina, we attended Oak Grove church in our younger years and became friends, Prayers to family
I went to Garfield Elementary School in Decatur with Larry. I saw his obituary in the Decatur Tribune. Good memories of walking home with him and other kids so long ago! :) I remembered him in the Grade school picture in his tribute! :) Larry was a lot of fun in those days and a good soul! You all will be in my thoughts and prayers in the days ahead!

I fell in love with Larry’s son Shawn when I was just 14 right after my own dad passed. Larry loved his family and friends and had no fear. What you saw is what you get. He didn’t hold back. You never had to wonder what he thought of you. A few fond memories was the time I went turtle hunting with them. I named the snapping turtles and played with them in his back yard for weeks. Then I unknowingly ate them at a backyard cookout for July 4th. That was back in 98 and I have not ate at his house since! Thanksgiving dinner is held at my house and I provide the food haha! Another funny story…Our daughter Payton was always out fishing the guys from the time she was old enough to hold her own Barbie pole. Shawn and Larry hadn’t caught crap all day. Larry decided it had the be the pole. Here came Larry and Shawn on the boat and Larry had resorted to using the Barbie pole! I could share many stories of him over the years but I will end this in saying, we should have had more time. We had more memories to make. He will be dearly missed.
Larry was a good friend. I always enjoyed seeing him when we worked together. He was a hard worker and very dependable. He took pride in helping families we served and making sure the doves were ready to help families. I will miss our talks and send prayers to his family.
