Lauretta Eulice Pleasant's Obituary
Decatur-Lauretta Eulice Pleasant, 92, of Decatur, formerly of Blue Mound, passed away at 12:30 p.m. Monday, August 30, 2010 at Decatur Memorial Hospital with her family by her side.
Services to celebrate Eulice's life will be 11 a.m. Thursday, September 2, 2010 in the chapel of Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Interment with 'Flight Home' Ceremony will be in Hall Cemetery. Eulice was born June 1, 1918 in Assumption the daughter of Frank and Ibbie (Irvin) Huffman. She was previously employed as a rural mail carrier with the United States Postal Service in Blue Mound retiring after twenty years of service. She was a member of the Moose Lodge and enjoyed fishing, playing cards, and crocheting. She married Emerson 'Fat' Pleasant on February 19, 1938 in Kentucky. He preceded her in death April 2, 1993 and her only son Donald on April 7, 2007.
She leaves behind her daughter; Susan Logue and husband 'Pokey' of Decatur, grandchildren; Terri Hill and husband Denny, Toby Pleasant and wife Diane, Todd Logue and wife Marcelle, Tim Pleasant and wife Kelly, Tia Logan and husband Bruce, and Tricia Athey and husband Jon, fourteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
She was greeted in Heaven by her parents, husband, son, three brothers, and four sisters.
