Lawrence J. "Joe" Swinnen's Obituary
Decatur-Lawrence J. “Joe” Swinnen, 48, of Decatur, passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2013 in Heritage Manor in Pana.
Joe was born December 26, 1964 in Decatur, the son of Arthur and Dorothy (Stringer) Swinnen. He was employed in maintenance at the Pilot McDonalds and a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. Joe was a gentle man that loved gaming especially active role playing games. He will be greatly missed.
Joe leaves behind his sisters Connie Logue, Judy Reeves, Phyllis (Jeff) Delanoy and Lynette “Lynn” Swinnen, and several loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, family, and friends.
Joe was reunited in Heaven with his parents and nephew Timothy Ekiss.
Memorial Mass to celebrate Joe’s life will be 11 a.m. Saturday, November 30, 2013 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 2160 N. Edward Decatur, with Rev. Rick Weltin, Celebrant. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the Mass at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church.
