God gave life to Leona August 31, 1918 in Neoga the daughter of Harry and Lottie (Rockwell) Pridemore. She was previously employed at Mittz Garment Factory, Hi Flier Kite Company, and Borg Warner. Her greatest job was loving and caring for her family. Leona was an excellent seamstress, making her daughters clothes until they were through grade school. She was an excellent cook especially pies for her husband. She loved all of God's gifts to our world. She enjoyed her fruit trees, all the birds that came to her feeders and baths, and she had the most beautiful flowers in Decatur. Leona enjoyed ballroom dancing and big band music. Often, she would sing around the house to her family. She was affiliated with Central Baptist Church. Leona married Horace R. Hoff on September 26, 1936. He preceded her in death September 6, 1987.
She leaves behind her daughters; Marilyn White and husband Harold of Decatur and Phyllis Doak and husband Robert of Oakley, twelve grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren, six step-great-grandchildren, and sixteen great-great-grandchildren.
She was reunited in heaven with her parents, husband, two brothers, three sisters, one daughter Linda Musick, and three grandchildren.
Leona was a happy lady who enjoyed life, country, family, and most of all her Lord. She had the most beautiful eyes and a smile that would light up a room.
Mom is greatly loved and will be missed in our hearts but always with us until we meet again in Heaven.
Thank you mom for all the love, guidance, and joy you have given to us, looking forward to being with you again with the Lord in Heaven.
