Leonard V. Budney's Obituary
Decatur – Leonard V. Budney, 68, of Decatur, passed away at 1:45 pm Monday, February 1, 2010 at Shelbyville Manor with his family by his side.
Services to celebrate Leonard’s life will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, February 4, 2010 at Glad Tidings Assembly of God. Visitation will be held two hours prior to services at the church. Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home is assisting the family with these arrangements. Interment with the “Flight Home” Ceremony will be at Graceland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be sent to the American Alzheimer’s Association or the family. Online condolences and memories may be shared with the family at www.gracelandfairlawn.com.
Leonard was born October 14, 1941 in Chicago, the son of Victor and Mamie (Tomasello) Budney.
Leonard had a passion for deep sea fishing, butterflies, plants, and flowers. He loved to play bingo and cards with his friends.
He will be sadly missed by his three daughters: Christine (Tony) Davis of Urbana, Jackie (Fred) Jones of Mt. Zion, and Pam (Kevin) Harper of Mt. Zion, eight grandchildren: Patty, Billy, John, Katie, Rudy, Matt, Adam, and Madison, two great-grandchildren: Jessica and Blaine, one niece and two nephews.
He was reunited in Heaven with his parents and one brother: Tom.
