Lesbia Opal "Peggy" Heffron's Obituary
Decatur-Lesbia Opal “Peggy” (Richardson) Heffron, 96, of Buffalo Grove formerly of Decatur, passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2015 in The Springs at Crystal Lake Rehabilitation Center.
Peggy was born September 14, 1919 in Tuscola, Illinois, the daughter of George Harper and Lou Etta (Sexton) Richardson. She was a devoted homemaker and member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. She married George Dudley Heffron August 5, 1942 in St. Louis, Missouri. He preceded her in death May 12, 2007.
Peggy leaves behind her daughter Jan Lyden and husband Jim of Crystal Lake.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Paris Richardson, and three sisters Nora Aaron, Flossie Kittle, and Thelma Epperson.
Private graveside services will held at Graceland Cemetery in Decatur. Memorials are suggested to the Westminster Presbyterian Church.
