Decatur- Leslie L. Shaw Jr., 76, of Decatur, passed away Friday, August 17, 2012, at St. Mary's Hospital.
A service to celebrate the life of Leslie will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 22, 2012, at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. A visitation will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 21, 2012, also at the funeral home. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Heart Association.
Leslie was born January 26, 1936, in Decatur, Illinois, the son of Leslie and Helen (Robinson) Shaw Sr. Leslie retired from the Wabash/Norfolk Southern Railroad after 44 years of Service. He was an avid gardener and a die-hard Bears fan. Leslie married Jean (Lorton) Burrow on April 26, 1981 in Decatur, Illinois.
He is survived by his wife, children; Lenda Munson, Susan Stukins, Lori (Steve) Jostes, Cindy Scott, Norman (Debby) Burrow, Kathy (Randy) Junge, Steve Burrow, and Rick (Susan) Burrow, sister; Beverly Pilot of Bradenton, FL, brother's-in-law Loren Longbons, of Sarasota, FL, and Richard (Charlene) Lorton of Huntley, IL, twenty grandchildren , and twelve great-grandchildren.
Leslie was preceded in death by his parents, and sister; Marjorie Longbons.
