Lester Lee Myers' Obituary
Decatur-Lester Lee Myers, 87, of Decatur, passed away Thursday, June 19, 2014 in his home with his family by his side.
He was born March 22, 1927 in Decatur, the son of Edward and Edna (Blue) Myers. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was previously employed with Caterpillar Inc. retiring after thirty-three years of service. He married Phyllis Abbott March 12, 1950. She preceded him in death in August of 1978.
He leaves behind his son Kurt Myers and wife Francine of Hot Springs, Arkansas, daughters Janice Myers of Dalton City and Mari Lynn Myers of Decatur, eleven grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, four brothers, and three sisters.
Honoring Lester’s wishes cremation services will be provided by Graceland/Fairlawn Crematory. No services are planned at this time.
