Lillie Mae Jackson's Obituary
Lillie Mae 'Blondie' Stanley-Jackson, 76, of Decatur, formerly of Springfield, IL, departed this life peacefully of Thursday, March 29, 2012 at 2:08 pm.
Services to celebrate the life of Lillie will be at 12:00 noon Friday, April 6, 2012 at the Jasper Street Church of Christ, visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. till the time of the service. Interment will be at Macon County Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may directed to the family.
Lillie was born July 11, 1935 in Forest City, AK to Leroy Stanley and Georgia Stanley. Lillie worked as a CNA until she retired and moved to Decatur to help with her father and be near her siblings. Lillie united in marriage to Edgar Jackson until his death. Lillie professed her life in Christ at an early age. She was a faithful member of the Jasper Street Church of Christ until her health failed her.
Lillie leaved to cherish her memory a step-mother, Margurite Stanley of Decatur; two sisters, Gloria (Leonard) Smith, Shellie (Thomas) Stanley; nine brothers, Shawn Stanley, Anthony Stanley, Maurice (Mary) Stanley, Leroy Jr. (Jackie) Stanley, all of Decatur, David (Denise)Stanley of Louisville, KY, Eugene Stanley of Aurora, CO, Charles Stanley of Spokane, WA, Roosevelt Stanley of Springfield, IL, Michael Stanley of Danville, IL; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Lillie was preceded in death by her husband, parents, grandparents, several nieces, uncles, and aunts.
