Lily Adelaide Bulla Barker's Obituary
Decatur-Lily Adelaide Bulla Barker, 86, of Decatur, passed away Monday, March 3, 2014 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Lily was born April 24, 1927 Llanbradach, Caerphilly, Wales the daughter of William and Gladys (Jones) Townsend. She was a talented seamstress working for Van Law Carol’s and Bickes Vault Company. She was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church and enjoyed sewing and rummage sales. She married Russell Dale Bulla May 28, 1945 in Bristol, England. He preceded her in death in 1988. She then married William James Barker February 1, 2009.
Lily leaves behind her husband Bill of Decatur, children Mark (Dana) Bulla of Forsyth and Sue (Les) Albert of Ramsey, grandchildren Les (Robbi) Albert Jr. of Virginia, MN, Todd (Kim) Albert of Decatur, Kristen (John) Lewis of Cerro Gordo, Jeffrey (Katie) Walker of Cerro Gordo, Holly (Mike) Lynch of Maroa, great-grandchildren Joseph, Chloe, Ciara, Sophie, and Kaelyn Albert, Lauryn and Caullin Barker, Schylinn Lily and Brystol Leigh Carter, Mason William and Makenzie Renae Walker, and Chyenne Elizabeth and Gracie Mae Lynch, brothers Robert (Veronica) Townsend and John (Mary) Townsend all of Bristol, England, and sisters Grace Bixley and Gill (Robert) Riches all of Bristol, England.
Lily was reunited in Heaven with her parents, first husband Russell, and brothers William and Morris Townsend.
Services to celebrate Lily’s life will be 11 a.m. Friday, March 7, 2014 in Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 9:30-11 a.m. prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Boiling Springs Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Tabernacle Baptist Church.
