Linda Lou Jackson's Obituary
Linda Lou Jackson, 79, of Decatur, IL passed away peacefully with family by her side on Monday, November 7, 2022.
Linda was born on October 27, 1943, in Decatur, Illinois to Roscoe and Lillian Smith. She married the love of her life, Robert W. Jackson, on September 24, 1961. He preceded her in death on February 17, 2011. Linda was a local bartender for years and didn’t know a stranger. She had a love for the river boat and playing bingo. She seemed to have the luck for them too. Spending time with her family was one of her greatest joys in life. She will be dearly missed by all that loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roscoe and Lillian Smith; Husband, Robert Jackson; Brothers: Duane Smith and Nelson Kay Smith; Granddaughter, Tianna Jackson; Beloved Yorkie, Babygirl and special friend, Margaret Boone.
Surviving her are two sons; Duane (Barb) Jackson and Robby Jackson; two daughters: Shelly Jackson and Lana Rigg; Grandchildren: LaRee (Jenny) Jackson, LoRen Jackson, Jenna Jackson, Kelsey (Ethan) Lourash, Robert (Katie) Rigg, and Jamie Jackson; Great grandchildren: Robert Jr., Aeden, Hailie, Sydney, Marshawna, and Havyn; Good friends: Judy Gehrkinand Janet Green
A special thank you to Becca and the staff of HSHS hospital and Nurse Talena and the staff at Fairhaven Senior Living for taking such great care of Mrs. Linda. Per Linda’s wishes, we will be doing a private graveside service with family.
