Linda Sue Mollohan's Obituary
Linda Sue Mollohan, 81, of Decatur, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Linda was born in Greenup, Illinois, on August 29, 1942, the daughter of Virgil and Maxine (Seeley) Myers. She earned an Associate's degree and then worked in customer service for 25 years at Ameren. She married Louis “Wayne” Mollohan on June 19, 1973, in Decatur. Linda was known for her many arts and crafts projects, including knitting, crocheting, making cards, needlepoint, and hooking rugs. She also was an avid baker in her younger years. She belonged to the Needle Arts Club, the Methodist Women’s Group, the Red Hat Society, and the Rug Hookers’ Club. She was a faithful member of First United Methodist Church in Decatur.
Linda is survived by her husband; children Malinda Sue (Jeff) Topping, Samuel A. (Lisa) McClure Jr., Bradley W. Mollohan, Suzanne M. (Pete) Banda, Jeffrey W. (Candy) Morgan, Julie A. (Wes) Ingraham, Michael S. (Cam) Mollohan, and Lisa G. Mollohan; siblings Todd (Angie) Myers, Tim (Brenda) Myers, and Sandra (Bob) Sanders; 12 grandchildren, including Rainee Conerty of Decatur; 4 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Georgie, and 4 grandchildren.
Services for Linda will be held on Monday, October 2, at First United Methodist Church in Decatur. Visitation will be from 9am to 11am and will be followed by a funeral service at 11am. Burial in Graceland Cemetery will follow the service. The family requests casual attire for the services.
