Lloyd D. Davis' Obituary
Lloyd D. Davis, 72, of Decatur, passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2018 in his home with his wife by his side.
Lloyd was born May 24, 1945 in Vandalia, Illinois, the son of Lloyd B. Davis and Viola (Johnson) Ford. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. Lloyd was a maintenance supervisor with Norfolk & Southern Railroad retiring after thirty-four years of service. He was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church, Stephen Decatur Lodge #979 A.F. & A.M., and the Decatur Shrine Club. Lloyd married Jackie Sussen July 14, 1962. They shared over fifty-five years together.
Lloyd leaves behind his wife Jackie, brothers Billy Joe (Rose) Davis, Michael A. Stine, and Richard A. (Tina) Stine, sisters Debbi (Ed) Levandowski, Barbara (Rick) Ridings, Brenda (Mark) Hartford, Sandy (Dan) Tebbe, Tina (Steve) Klemke, grandchildren Ashley (Stephen) Coffman, Amanda Davis, and Lloyd Davis III, and great-grandchildren Hersch and Hailey Coffman and Kyleigh Davis.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents, brother Dennis Stine Jr., and son Lloyd D. Davis II.
Graveside services to celebrate Lloyd’s life will be 10:00 AM Saturday, April 7, 2018 in North Fork Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Macon County Honor Guard.
