Lois E. Hofstetter's Obituary
Lois E. Hofstetter, 89, of Decatur passed away on Friday, September 9, 2016 in Hickory Point Christian Village.
Lois was born on April 5, 1927 in Vandalia, IL the daughter of William and Eva (Hatfield) Braughton. She was a member of First Congregational Church in Decatur. She enjoyed playing Bridge and was a member of the Caterpillar Retiree Club. She married James A. Hofstetter on August 8, 1970. He preceded her in death on May 19, 2012.
Surviving are her daughters, Sheila Turner of Decatur; Pamela Knight (Jim) of Odessa, FL; step-sons, Ronald Hofstetter (Cheryl) and Jim Hofstetter (Anna) of Lake Havasu, AZ; 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Terry Wiseman, brothers, Jack Braughton and Bob Braughton, sister, Mildred Hart, and one grandson.
She loved her family and spending time with them, and enjoyed her friends.
Funeral service to celebrate Lois’s life will be 11 AM Wednesday, September 14, 2016 in Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Macon County Memorial Park. Memorials are suggested to American Cancer Society or Hickory Point Christian Village Activities Fund.
