Lois Ann Worley's Obituary
Lois Ann Worley, 89, of Decatur, passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2019, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Decatur.
Lois was born in West Allis, WI, on August 20, 1930, a daughter of Calvin Eugene Pynn and Marian Helen (Jones) Pynn. She married Leon Max Worley on June 24, 1950, in West Allis, WI.
Lois is survived by five sons: John (Linda) Worley of Decatur; Paul Worley of Urbandale, IA; Joseph (Mary) Worley of Canal Fulton, OH; David Worley of Fairfield Glade, TN; and James (Becky) Worley of Flower Mound, TX; two daughters: Susan Portwood of Corning, NY; and Nancy (Dan) Guenther of Glencoe, IL; thirteen grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her former husband Leon, and her brother Richard Pynn.
Lois taught English for over 20 years in the Decatur public schools, primarily at Mound Middle School and Roosevelt Junior High School. Lois volunteered at Rock Springs Nature Center, and loved watching the Green Bay Packers and PBR Bull Riding.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday October 26, 2019, at Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home in Decatur. Private Inurnment will be in Prairie Home Cemetery in Waukesha, WI. Memorial contributions in her name may be made to Rock Springs Nature Center.
