Lola "Dolores" Atchison's Obituary
Lola Dolores Atchison, 93, of Lee’s Summit, MO formerly of Decatur passed away on Friday, January 30, 2015 in Wilshire at Lakewood.
Dolores was born on June 15, 1921 in Decatur, IL the daughter of William H. and Lola (Leach) Orey. She enjoyed crocheting, needle point, and doing Puzzles. She was a former member of the Red Hats Society and Kiwanianne Club of Decatur. She married Charles M. Atchison on October 14, 1940 in St. Charles, MO. He preceded her in death in 1992.
Surviving are her daughter, Diana Story of Blue Springs, MO; 6 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and daughter Carole Reynolds, sisters, Phyllis Bass and Betty Balding.
Dolores was a beautiful and loving lady to our family. She gave each and every one of us a very special love that we will continue to cherish.
Funeral service to celebrate Dolores’ life will be 10 AM Monday, February 9, 2015 in Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be 2-4 PM Sunday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Macon County Memorial Park. Memorials are suggested to Crossroads Hospice in Lee’s Summit, MO
