THURMAN
DECATUR- Lola Mae Inman Thurman, 87 of Decatur, passed away at 1:42 pm Thursday, April 22, 2010 in Lincoln Manor Nursing Home.
Graveside services to celebrate Lola's life will be held at 1:30 Monday, April 26, 2010 in the Sebastian Cemetery in Fredericktown, MO. conducted by Pastor Robert Graham. Visitation will be held from 11 am to 1 pm at the Follis and Sons Funeral Home in Fredericktown. Local arrangements are being handled by the Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to the Animal Shelter of your choice in honor of Lola's love for animals.
Lola was born on January 17, 1923 in Dunklin County, MO. a daughter of Brook and Nonda Goodrich. Lola married Jessie A. Inman on January 13, 1941. He passed away October 12, 1969. She and her husband owned and operated the Long Horn Steakhouse in Fredericktown. She later had her own Merle Norman Dealership. Lola married Ernie Thurman on September 23, 1989 and he passed away in January 23, 1998. She later enjoyed the companionship of her special friend Harold Crow and he passed away August 12, 2006. Lola was active in her community and schools where she served as PTA President.
Surviving are her daughter- Barbara Harbison and husband Jerry of Decatur, sons- Donald R. Inman and Marge Reynolds of Springfield, MO., and Gary E. Inman and Pam of Fredericktown, MO, half-brother- B.A. Goodrich and wife Dorothy of Fisk, MO, grandchildren- Brian, DeWayne, Gayle, Shannon, Donnie Gale and Geoff and seven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, four brothers and one sister.
Words cannot express the gratitude the family has for the loving care given to Lola by the staff at Lincoln Manor, and they will be forever grateful.
