Londa Marie Ricketts' Obituary
Londa Marie Ricketts, 63, of Decatur, Illinois, passed away June 15, 2025.
Londa was born in Decatur on February 26, 1962, the daughter of Gail and Rose (Knittle) Brooks. She married Mark Ricketts on November 29, 2013, and they enjoyed nine years of marriage until his death in 2022.
Londa was a woman of many interests and passions. She loved the Lord. She was talented with every imaginable art and craft, including making jewelry, crocheting, and making gnomes. She was active outdoors through fishing, swimming, and motorcycle riding. She could make or build anything she wanted. Her daredevil side showed itself in her love of amusement parks and roller coasters. Most of all, she had a huge heart and loved helping people. Her big laugh and beautiful smile welcomed and embraced all who knew her. She will be missed by her family, her church family at Perfected Prayze, her friends, and the countless people she encountered in her life.
Londa is survived by her children Steven (Holly) Pearson of Decatur, Matthew (Dache) Hunt of Sedalia, MO, and Dawn (Johnnie III) Rolle of Mt. Zion; partner Joe Paniagua of Chicago; sister Gaila (Bud) Felton of Long Creek; grandchildren Haley Pearson, Thomas Pearson, Kaiden Hunt, Kayleigh Hunt, Aubriana Hastings, Jalissa Hastings, Bradley Hastings Jr., and DaJohn Rolle; several nieces and nephews, including Kip (Clarissa) Brooks Jr., who was her devoted assistant; and many extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Kip Brooks Sr. and Rod Brooks, and nephew Brad Barker.
Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home is providing cremation services for Londa. A Celebration of Life will be held from 2pm to 4pm on Saturday, July 5, at Perfected Prayze (2606 Rte. 121, Decatur, IL).
