Loraine Egebrecht's Obituary
Decatur-Loraine Egebrecht, 94 of Decatur, passed away Monday, April 4, 2011 at McKinley Court Care Centre.
Graveside services to celebrate Loraine's life will be 10 am Thursday, June 2, 2011 at Graceland Cemetery with Pastor Wray Offermann officiating. The “Flight Home” ceremony will conclude the services. Memorial donations may be directed to St. Paul's Lutheran Church or to your charity of choice. Loraine was born on August 5, 1916 in Boody, IL the daughter of Fred L. and Doris W. (Vatthaur) Egebrecht. She was a graduate of Decatur High School with the class of 1934 and continued her education at Brown Business College. Loraine was employed as a legal secretary for Rosenberg Law Office and retired in 1982. Loraine was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church; she had been a volunteer with the Lutheran Braille, St. Paul's Stamp Ministry and the Ministry to Mature. Loraine also volunteered at Decatur Memorial Hospital and the DMH Thrift Shop.
Loraine is survives by her nephews Ronald Egebrecht of Maryland and Richard Egebrecht of Colorado.
Loraine was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother Raymond.
