Lorraine Ellen Koshinski's Obituary
Lorraine Ellen Koshinski, 100, of Decatur, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 30, 2019, at her daughter’s home in Clifton Hill, MO.
She was born January 10, 1919, in Sauk Rapids, MN, to Lee and Louise (Packert) Mendel. She married Ernest Koshinski on December 1, 1938, in Foley. MN. He passed away September 27, 2001. Lorraine loved to garden and work outside, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her four children, Dale (Joy) Koshinski of Warrensburg, IL, Shirley (Walter) Babcock of Decatur, IL, Marilyn (Eddie) Flach-Boerger of Clifton Hills, MO, Bonnie (Russell) Hall of San Dimas, CA; twelve grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; her brother, Louis Mendel of Phoenix, AZ and her sister, Violet Miller of St. Cloud, MN.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ernest; her son, Ernest Koshinski, Jr.; three brothers, and one sister.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Lorraine Koshinski will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 16, 2019, at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, February 15, 2019, at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Fairlawn Mausoleum. Memorials may be directed to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
