Lorraine J. Waddell's Obituary
Decatur-Lorraine J. Waddell, 94, of Decatur, passed away Friday, April 01, 2016 in her home.
Lorraine was born December 16, 1921 in Harper, Kansas, the daughter of Eugene and Agnes (Coady) Bergman. She was a mother, home maker and farm wife. She also was a Stanley Home Products Dealer for over 55 years. She was a member of Eastern Star for 70 years. Lorraine enjoyed pie baking and word searches. She married John “Snap” Waddell April 14, 1946 in Harper, Kansas. He preceded her in death August 3, 2002.
Lorraine leaves behind her son John (Carol) Waddell of Troy, Missouri, daughters Linda (Gary) Goeken of Decatur and Gloria (Clayton “Clay”) Colebar of Latham, nine grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Cheryl Ann, one brother, and two sisters.
Services to celebrate Lorraine’s life will be 11 a.m. Monday, April 4, 2016 in Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services. Burial will be at Two Mile Grove Cemetery in Latham at a later date. Memorials in Lorraine’s honor are suggested to the Latham United Methodist Church or the Eastern Star.
