Louella Hines' Obituary
Louella Hines, 95, of Decatur, passed away Monday, May 27, 2019 at Generations of Mckinley Court surrounded by her family.
Louella was born November 1, 1923, in Fayette, Missouri, the daughter of Charles and Millie May Cary Elizabeth (Talbort) Cowans. She married Lee L. Hines Sr. on May 5, 1947.
Surviving are their children, Lee Hines, Jr. of Decatur; Charles Hines of Brown Deer, WI; Wayne (Willie “Dora”) Hines of Decatur; Richard Hines of Decatur; Gloria (Richard) Jameson of Racine, WI; and Audrey Bond of Decatur; her sisters, Sara Cowans and Delores Nelson; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by parents, her husband, her four sisters, and her four brothers.
Louella was a member of the First Church of God in Christ for many years. She was the oldest church mother at the church. She was devoted to her family and to her church.
A homegoing service will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 7, 2019 at First Church of God in Christ. Elder Allen will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
