Louis E. “Chip” Davis, 47, of Decatur, passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at OSF ST. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Chip was born December 24, 1971, in Decatur, the son of Louis and Gina (Dunn) Davis. Surviving are his wife, Ta Read Obituary
Here I am looking back. Dad I wish I could have said I love you just one more time.
I sing you are my sunshine to my baby every night because that’s the last memory I have of you.
Oh how I wish you could meet him on earth side but given I found out I was pregnant a few days from my birthday last year I know you chose him on heavens side.
I love you dad.
I was so sadden to hear of chip’s passing. I was so blessed to be able to meet so a humble man. I’m glad I got to meet him and was aloud to take care of him to the best of my ability. We had many heart to hearts and even with everything he had going on he was always giving me sound advice. Any the month I took care of chip he became somebody dare to my heart and I will always remember him. I know he is no longer suffering and I’m pretty sure he is up in heaven getting into trouble already lol
I was completely blindsided when I heard the news. Chip was a mentor for me growing up, always helping others in any way he could. One such example, he would come to my grandmother’s house out of the kindness of his heart and clear her driveway after snowstorms. Countless summer days were spent with Chip, enjoying video and card games, learning all the while. You were a good man, and a great friend. You will truly be missed.
I am so saddened to hear of Chip’s passing. Chip always had an honery smile, full of laughter and liked to be the jokester! I had alot of fun growing up with Chip, going to school together, and of course riding horses. He had a great Heart and was a very sweet person and a Friend to me always. I will miss ya Chip~but your home my friend~ love ya~ til we meet again on that Glorious side; check in on my Momma, n Eric for me. Will miss you brother. See you on the otherside when I get there.I appreciated all the help your gave helping teach yoga and qi gong for me when I could not be at class. I will miss having you as a student in kung fu as well as my energy arts classes.
I heard the news of Chips passing this morning. I will cherish our childhood memories and forever keep your memory alive
