Louis Clark Davis' Obituary
Louis Clark Davis, 79, of Decatur, passed away July 12, 2022 at Decatur Rehabilitation Health Center.
Louis was born in Brownsville, Tennessee, on November 12, 1942, the son of Richard Davis and Emma Ruth (Nesbitt) Brooks. He worked for Wagner Castings for many years. He was a member of Jasper Street Church of Christ. He was a man who loved spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren. He could often be found walking all over town to visit friends.
Louis is survived by his children: Cynthia (Antonio) Brown of Fairview Heights, IL, Louis Hunt of Decatur, Stephanie Wiley of Decatur, Wonderful Griffin of Decatur, and Anthony Carter of Decatur; bonus children Termaine Dees, Francesca Bowen, and Kellie Bonds; siblings Shirley Davis, Jean (Johnnie) Tyson, Rolanda Russell, Betty Brooks, Andre Brooks, Edna Brooks, Jacqueline Brooks, Roy Davis, Jeanette Davis, and Matthew Davis; 20 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother, 2 sisters, 1 granddaughter, and 1 great-grandson.
Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home is providing cremation services for Louis. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, July 22 at 1pm. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.gracelandfairlawn.com .
