Louise T. Morgret's Obituary
Louise Thelma Morgret, 86, of Decatur, passed away August 22, 2013 from complications of Alzheimer’s.
Louise was born to the late Dan and Violet Gephart on September 16, 1926 in Lucas Township, Illinois.
Louise was the fourth of eleven children. Louise graduated from Effingham High School. She married Ray E. Morgret on October 28, 1948 in Decatur.
Louise worked for Rath Packing from 1951 until its closing in 1970. She then worked for Marvel-Schebler until it closed. After that she became a chauffeur for her two granddaughters taking them to school and to piano lessons.
Louise was a gardener, canned and froze lots of vegetables and fruits. She also enjoyed tending to house plants and outside flowers.
Louise is survived by her husband of 64 years, Ray Morgret; Son David R. Morgret O.D. of Decatur;
Daughter Marilyn (Ed) Binkley of Great Falls, Montana; granddaughters Jennifer (Peter) Rasor of Charlestown, Indiana and Erin (Ryan) Holm of Helena, Montana; great-granddaughters Samantha,
Alyssa, Leah and Gloria Rasor; great-grandsons Sawyer and Trevor Holm.
Louise is also survived by three sisters and three brothers: Pearl Christianson, Blytheville, Arkansas; Hazel (Richard) Eaton, Plainfield, Illinois; Ada (Clyde) Gossman, Floyd, Arlin and Howard Gephart all of Dieterich, Illinois; and about 40 nieces and nephews.
There will be bo visitation. Services to celebrate Louise’s life for family only will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 26, 2013 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home.
