Luan D Loudenback's Obituary
Luan D. Loudenback, 96, of Decatur, passed away Sunday December 22, 2024, in her daughter's home surrounded by her loving family.
Luan was born October 19, 1928, in Decatur Il, a daughter of Floyd Derr and Verna (Veech Wheeler) Lawson. Luan was a member of Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church, and worked for many years as Office Manager of Decatur Title Company and was most proud to be Mayoral Secretary to Gary K. Anderson. She married Robert W. Loudenback on August 12, 1976, in Seattle, WA. They spent 30+ years snow birding at Towerpoint Resort in Mesa AZ where they made several lifelong friends staying connected through the years.
Luan is survived by her daughter, Leigh Anne (Craig) Brown of Decatur; grandchildren, Kathi (Michael) Howell of Cerro Gordo; Sara (Oscar) Chavez of Mexico; Amy (Kaleb Snoke) Marshall of Decatur; Andrew (Brittany) Brown of Chesterton IN; special Step-Grandson Douglas (Mandy) Loudenback of MO; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; and special friend Betty Sanford; as well as numerous extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband, and one daughter Lynne Gray.
A graveside service will be held at 3pm on Tuesday December 31, 2024 in Bement Cemetery following a private family funeral.
