Lucille B. Becker's Obituary
Bloomington-Lucille B. Becker, 87, of Bloomington, passed away at 9:45 p.m. Saturday, February 27, 2010 at Heritage Manor in Bloomington.
Graveside services to celebrate Lucille's life will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at Park Hill Cemetery in Bloomington. There will be no visitation. Lucille was born January 14, 1923 in Shirley, the daughter of Henry and Hannah (Komnick) Becker. She graduated from a country grade school, Normal Community High School, and Browns Business College. She worked at Bloomington Federal Association for ten years, State Farm for ten years, and had other various jobs. She last worked at the City of Bloomington Water Department. She was a member of the Foursquare Gospel Church where she was an organist, on the church council, and a deaconess. She later became a member of the Church of God Worship Center in Normal. She was a talented musician and loved music. She had traveled a lot in her younger years including Hawaii and Acapulco. She has been to all of the U.S. states except for three. She enjoyed watching beautiful evening sunsets.
She leaves behind nephews, John and Richard Bohrer and nieces, Dorothy and Donna Becker.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Cecil Becker, and sisters, Esther Becker and Alice Bohrer.
