Aunt Kay was a sweet, sweet lady. She was so skilled at coming up with genealogical info. She helped me track down some family info via her skill at using Find a Grave and other similar resources. I had the pleasure of spending some time with her, her husband Joe, and my cousin Tim earlier this year and had such a good, good time. I'll miss her greatly. I was so sorry to hear of the passing of Kay. We were friends thru a site called Find A Grave. Kay did so much on this site and loved it. We were always exchanging information about it and I would meet her in the grocery store and we would talk about our families and our work on the site. We exchanged information about our cancers and she was so brave and put up a good fight. She will be missed by many people who came in contact with her on the Find A Grave site as she worked on it almost every day and I think it probably helped her to keep her mind off of her fight. I know she was so proud of her family.

This sweet lady was a regular at the Decatur Public Library. She was always looking upgenealogical information for others in need. She always sent her prints off the computer to the printer under the code "KPET." We often had brief chats about what she was doing for others. What a good friend she was to take the time to do so much for her friends or family. She was a busy, busy woman….always rushing off to completeher next task. I will miss seeing her pretty and smiling face. What a great outlook she had on life. May she rest in sweet peace. It was a pleasure meeting you KPET! Kay,You were always like a Mother to me.. You were kind, caring, loving and never selfish.You were someone that I could talk to about anything and always had words of wisdom for me. Kay was a very good friend to all on Find a Grave and will be missed greatly. She was a wealth of information for others and she would go out of her way to help with any info that she could find for anyone. My husband also went to school with Kay and said she was just as kind and pleasant in person.

Kay's obituary is so true. I worked with Kay at K's Merchandise Mart Corp office. She was such a wonderful person and I enjoyed our friendship so much. Kay always had a comment and a good laugh to follow. I know she will be missed.Jeff Stockdale
